The need for efficient water treatment solutions has driven innovations in reverse osmosis (RO) technology. Among these innovations, containerized reverse osmosis systems have gained prominence for their versatility and numerous advantages over traditional industrial RO systems. As a pioneer in this field, ADVANCED Equipment and Services has developed ARKQUA® which offers a variety of RO containerized solutions with five key benefits that make containerized RO systems a compelling choice.

1. Quick and Easy Installation

One of the primary advantages of a containerized reverse osmosis system is its “plug and play” characteristic. These systems are pre-engineered, pre-assembled, and integrated into shipping containers, providing a compact and self-contained unit. Including a built-in multimedia filtration pretreatment system prepares the water before it undergoes the RO process; this turnkey approach significantly reduces on-site installation time and costs, allowing for faster deployment of water treatment solutions, and its compact design maximizes space efficiency.

2. Scalability and Modularity

Containerized RO systems offer scalability to meet varying water treatment demands. The modular nature of these systems allows for easy expansion by adding more containers as the water treatment needs increase. This scalability feature makes containerized RO systems adaptable to small-scale and large-scale applications, providing a flexible and cost-effective solution for industries with evolving water treatment requirements.

These systems are also inherently flexible and modular, allowing customization for specific water treatment needs. The modular design facilitates the integration of additional water treatment components or technologies, such as ultraviolet (UV) disinfection and advanced monitoring systems. This adaptability makes containerized RO systems versatile in addressing diverse water quality challenges and complying with stringent regulatory requirements.

3. Mobility / Portability

Containerized RO systems offer mobility and portability that traditional systems cannot match. These units can be easily transported to different locations, making them ideal for temporary projects, emergency response situations, or remote sites without permanent infrastructure. Industries with changing operational sites or those involved in disaster relief efforts find the portability of containerized RO systems invaluable. The ability to deploy a fully functional water treatment facility on short notice enhances the responsiveness of organizations facing dynamic water challenges.

4. User-friendly Maintenance and Operation

Maintenance and operation of traditional RO systems can be complex and require skilled personnel. Containerized RO systems are designed with user-friendly maintenance and operation in mind. The integrated components are easily accessible–facilitating routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Additionally, these systems often come equipped with advanced monitoring and control systems that simplify monitoring and operation. The streamlined maintenance procedures contribute to overall system reliability and longevity.

5. Built-In Climate Control

Maintaining optimal operating conditions is crucial for the efficiency of reverse osmosis systems. It is possible to equip containerized RO units with built-in climate control systems that regulate temperature and humidity inside the container. This feature is especially beneficial in regions with extreme weather conditions, ensuring that the RO system operates within the specified parameters for optimal performance and longevity.

Containerized RO Products

Containerized reverse osmosis systems offer various benefits that address the evolving needs of industries requiring efficient and reliable water treatment solutions. Compared to traditional industrial RO systems, containerized units provide a cost-effective, efficient, and versatile solution for industries and organizations seeking reliable water treatment options. With the expertise of companies like AES Inc., the integration of containerized RO technology becomes a strategic investment in sustainable and effective water management. Containerized RO Systems Bring Value to Your Organization

Containerized RO Systems

Containerized RO Systems Bring Value to Your Organization

Water is an incredibly valuable commodity. It plays an integral role in the operations of many organizations.  In fact, most manufacturers would be unable to produce their products without it.  Because so many business plants and facilities are not located near the freshwater they need, desalination (removing the salt from seawater) has become a more widely used process in many cases. Therefore, this innovative mechanism has made what once seemed impossible very, very possible.

That said, initially, desalination needed to take place near a body of water, it was simply the most efficient and effective way to facilitate the process.  Unfortunately, not all businesses are located in close proximity to a source; yet their need for desalinated water is high. Of course, the ability to decentralize this treatment of water is a much-needed response to a prevalent problem in a host of industries today.

Containerized RO Systems For Businesses

Containerized RO Systems are the key to making the decentralization of desalinated water a viable and valuable answer to the issues faced by many businesses. Among its greatest advantages are the fact that these systems are portable and scalable; they can be created based on the needs of an individual organization and even relocated when and if necessary.  Additionally, the fact that the processing, including RO, CIP flushing, and MMF, is included within the single container allows companies to leverage their space.

Other benefits include the fact that these containers can be deployed quickly – there is a reduced lead time so your operations are not disrupted if a sudden need arises.  And, they are modular, fully automated, and cost-effective – helping you improve your operations. Needless to say, the value of these systems is considerable; they positively impact the timing of the work being done as well as the bottom line costs. Of course, profitability is impacted by leveraging them.

ARKQUA™ – Containerized RO Systems

Advanced Equipment and Services’ newest product, ARKQUA™, is truly the latest and greatest with regard to Containerized RO Systems. Of course, businesses around the world have already begun to use it and feedback on its effectiveness has been overwhelmingly positive.

In addition to providing the highest quality Containerized RO Systems, our firm is fully committed to outstanding client service. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
CONTAINERIZED SEAWATER DESALINATION solving water for AQUACULTURE

INDUSTRIAL
AQUACULTURE
- SHRIMP FACTORY -

This project was built to deliver treated water to a Lab of Shrimp reproduction and genetic Improvement Center

Shrimp larvae laboratory

THE PROBLEM

Shortage of purified water, so well water had to be bought in tankers, and therefore increased costs in the production process. The client was looking for a way to reduce costs by optimizing their processes. The cost of water and its transfer to the plant represents a high impact in production cost.

Ultrafiltration

The solution

ARKQUA® Customer acquired two ARKQUA systems, each capable to produce 132,000 GPD (500m3d) of purified water. Each system is mounted inside a 40' container, fully automatic. Integral Clean/flush system automatically flush piping and membranes with fresh water at shutdown. This subsystem is also utilized for periodic chemical cleaning of the membranes.

Seawater Desalination Aquaculture Site

THE RESULT

Reduction of production costs by 50%, in addition the extra load driven by having to receive water distribution trucks loaded with water daily. Production time was significantly optimized, and water quality used for the development of nauplii and larvae was considerably improved. Having remote monitoring of the plant is a great benefit that allows to take proactive actions and minimized the risk of failure.
