What is Industrial Desalination?
Desalination can help alleviate water shortages and treat problematic wastewaters in a variety of sectors, including oil and gas and mining, and installed capacity is growing.
What Maintenance Is Required for Commercial Seawater RO Systems?
Routine maintenance activities include prefilter replacement, cleaning of membrane elements, and system check up to avoid the scaling and/or fouling process. The different pressure levels and flows should be tracked and any water leakages reviewed for optimum efficiency. Preventive maintenance will prolong the life of such systems and avert potential failures.
How Long Do Commercial Desalination Systems Last?
With proper maintenance, commercial desalination systems can last 15–25 years. Critical components, such as membranes and pumps, may need to be replaced every 3–5 years to maintain efficiency.
What Is the Average Installation Time for a Commercial SWRO System?
Installation will vary depending on the system size, site preparation, and level of customization. Most systems require 8-16 weeks, but containerized RO systems offered by ADVANCEES allow for quick deployment.
What Businesses Benefit Most from Commercial Desalination?
Industries like hospitality, agriculture, oil and gas, and coastal manufacturing benefit from consistent freshwater supply. Remote resorts, industrial plants, and municipalities also use desalination to meet water demands.
